Collective Visions
We engaged in discussion about the problems afflicting our communities and our collective vision of a world without these problems. By the end of the afternoon, we developed concrete actions towards this vision, and a better understanding of each other’s practices of care.

All of us have the inherent ability to envision how we want to live together, breathe together, grow together. However, those in power are often the ones to impose plans of “revitalization,” to decide what’s “best” for our community. Spaces for community visions are not always present and almost never validated.
Through Collective Visions, we attempted to make the space and take the space, to dream together. Despite the challenges of dreaming, we have continued the work to heal, love, and care about the communities that we’re a part of. This care is present in the art we create, in the gatherings we call together, and how we show up for each other. What would happen if we addressed this care together? How do we build momentum? How do we reclaim hope? |
